Roosevelt Golf Course

Here are some pictures of one of my favorite golf courses in Los Angeles. Ah Roosevelt, never crowded, affordable, and 9-holes that play very long. Many 300+ holes, challenging doglegs, and rolling hills make this a great destination. Additionally, although this course is long, carts are not permitted. Thus, you definately get you exercise for that day. The greens are huge and level, which makes putting once very possible. The middle picture is the 6th hole and the "signature" hole. It runs for 300 yards straight down and, has a very beautiful view of downtown LA.

Here is the view from the 8th hole, again a great view of downtown LA. Additionally, you can view the newly remodeled Griffith Observatory as you climb the 8th.

I wish these pictures were newer, because most recently there was a fire in the area. The extent of the damage was enough to warrant closing the course. Here is a picture of some of the damage. Things (thank goodness) are back to normal, from what I hear and people are playing golf and enjoying the area again.
